There is a definite demand for housing in the area but the proposal for 400 houses is excessive. The green land lost will be disastrous for the village. people move here for the open spaces, green land and amazing views. The pressure on the NHS in the area will have a negative impact for all, we can't get an appointment now, imagine what it will be like with an extra 400 families. The pressure on local hospitals will also effect us all. It is so worrying for all the locals.
I've heard there have been other sites earmarked for development so why not spread the housing to all areas. We do not need or want a huge housing estate in this lovely VILLAGE not town/concrete city!
I feel very strongly against the development but as I said at the start we do need more housing for young families in the village. Surely there is a better solution.
