Suggest the land from this site which is currently in LDP to be carried forward to RLDP either as part of the strategic site (long term approach) or bonus site. And for the link road currently included in current SE Abergele LDP that goes through the northern part of this land to be again included to link through to St George Road to help traffic flow in Abergele.
The northern part of this land is in the current LDP, allocated for residential in the SE Abergele Development Brief. Residential development here has now been stymied as Conwy Council have said they will not support any further residential in Abergele within this current LDP/and until infrastructure improves. Suggest either for this site to be included as part of strategic site going forward for Abergele (in preferred strategy) as part of a longer term strategy, helping with delivering best infrastructure for Abergele. Or included as 'bonus site' for the future. Also the link road should still as per the current LDP, link the strategic site to St George Road, to help alleviate traffic (as stated in current LDP) and not stop short.
Noted. The Abergele town centre highway issues need to be resolved before any land is allocated for residential development. Consideration will be given to including some of the land as a 'bonus' site.

As before, the northern part of this site was in the current LDP. A lot of work has gone into trying to bring this forward and collaboration with other landowners. This was discussed at meeting of landowners on 10 September at Conwy Council as was the need for the link road to continue to St George Road and a continued collaboration between landowners to make this happen to help deliver the best infrastructure for Abergele.
